As another has stated, the forum owner/moderators reserve the right to ban you for any reason at any time even if its just "I felt like it" or "I dont like him" thats the way it works.

Privately owned forums arent democracies you have no rights there they are dictatorships.

Its just a matter of how benevolent the dictator is as to how much freedom they are willing to give you.

But on the other hand as others here who know me can attest Im notoriously obnoxious and stubborn at times so I cant really fault you for your actions but we both know neither of us should behave that way just let it go and accept the consequences of your actions regardless of whether you feel it is fair or not.

We dont allow being an NT as an excuse for poor behavior here so why should they allow having AS as an excuse there?

That's true about most boards, the mods can ban someone they don't like, especially if they tried to work with you about the issue. If a board has a sports section, it's probably better for you and the mods if you avoid posting there as much as possible. As for myself, I try to stay out of topics dealing with religion or politics because those end up very heated rather quickly. It's better than getting banned for starting a nasty flame war, in my opinion. Having AS doesn't give us the excuse to act like a jerk, just as we don't like it when NT's act like jerks. NT's are the majority, so sometimes we have to follow rules we might not like in order to fit in.

Okay, I just registered and came out of lurk-mode to comment on this.

That is SO wrong, what they did to you. I wouldn't tolerate it on any level, and I think you need to march back there and demand an explanation of not only every moderator, but their host companies as well. I can't see how this is anything but clear-cut fascism dressed up in "have a nice day!" BS. "You're banned, but guess what, all our sports-loving members are free to stay." Where's the logic in that? IF THE RULES DON'T CLEARLY SAY YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR SPEAKING YOUR MIND ABOUT SPORTS... I think you might just have a big legal case on your hands. Like six figures big.

To war, sir, you've got a righteous battle on your hands. Godspeed.

Why would I want to go back to a place when I got treated like that? I'm not going to kiss the admins butts because I know I did not do anything wrong. its the NTs that need to change thinking when dealing with people with AS.

Whoa there hoss...why do they have to change?

I have AS, its who I am. I'm not going to change my thinking to make someone else happy.

But...they don't have AS, and that's who they are.

Why is it them that have to change again?

For someone who seems to hold "rules" in about as much esteem as the Pope holds God, your argument doesn't make much sense.

If they don'tlike who i really am and can't deal with it, its they're problem. I'm not changing for anyone.

They seem ok with that as long as you stay gone, and frankly, it doesn;t seem like much of a problem to them.

Is that what you want?

Of course I'm kidding. The rules say you be banned at any time, for any reason, and they also say that you don't question mod decisions. He did, he got booted. This Kevin guy deserves a medal for putting up with as much crap as he did.

After reading the thread, and the responses, I'd have to say that they were in the right, not you. Having Asperger's does not put you above the rules laid out by a site. They seemed very willing to work with you, which is more then most sites on the Internet would be...

Thread crapping (a forum I moderate at calls it either "Disturbing the Peace" or "Trolling" depending on the situation) is rather insulting and rude if you're on the receiving end. :\

When you told the mod you have AS, it sounded like a excuse so he won't ban you.

That was not the first time I told them I had AS. I orginally posted in another fourm that someone started about autism that I had AS. SO IMO the mods knew I had AS. This was a few minths before this sports stuff happened.

Just what I want to be, a robot conforming what everyone else thinks and kissing the admins butt for letting me come back. I know where i'm not wanted. If I was let back, before I posted ANYTHING, I would Email this admin with what I want to post to make sure it was OK I was not breaking some hidden rule.

I recently got ostracised from one small forum for disagreeing with the members. Not aggressively or repetitively, but winning an argument with one of the women. She posted a thread there with her opinion (which was BS) and me and a friend ripped her argument to shreds. She went on a childish fit. We were never unkind to her or anything but I got the message that dissent wasn't wanted there. So we left. I've not gone back.

The thing is, it does not sound like they are angry about his dissenting viewpoints but the fact that he spread them though all of the threads rather than kept them in a single thread and then did not stop doing so when he was told to.

Yes, I understand this. I'm just sharing my experiences. This situation is entirely different from my own.

You're on private property = dictatorship. It would be the same if you're in someone else's house.

is this the same fellow who embezzled all of that money? i just did a search, and apparently a 'Kevin Kulp' of eastern penn, us was responsible for controlling fund raising money and distributing it. it ended up that he dipped into $21,000 or so more dollars. i'm not sure whether this matter has been resolved yet, or not.

sorry to hear about your game.
