I feel tremendously better when I increase my protein intake. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this, or if anyone else experiences this as well? A very distinct clarity comes over my mind when I eat eggs and/or meat (or probably any protein) and I feel like my ability to think and function is greatly increased. I'm not sure if this would be autism related in any way.

Thanks :)

Not at all. It is normal since protein form a building block. Your body needs it and eggs and meat are extremely rich in protein.

That's absolutely normal, I achieve the same effect with cottage cheese and other dairy products since I don't like meat and eat eggs only occasionally. It's because you're replacing carbohydrates with protein, and the former include sugar and sugar makes you limp and tired, that's why a bowl of oatmeal or other cereals in the evening help you sleep.

Taurine and L-Carnitine are both amino acids that are usually deficient in people with Aspergers and autism. Both are pretty much only found in meat. Also, saturated fat and cholesterol are needed for good brain health.
