Need Shrink In PA

Not sure if this is the thread I should post this in.

I need a psychologist (psychiatrist?) in PA that is experienced with high functioning autism (aspergers).

I have googled it several times and I just can't seem to find anyone.

This person would be for me. This has been something on my mind for quite some time. I saw one in the past but it was merely a few times to confirm the aspie diagnosis. I didn't really like her, but the big thing was her office was far away. I now live somewhere new and was hoping to find a decent one.

I am 18. I don't really know what to say or ask in regards to this, so I just decided to write this post asking for what I know basically in hopes someone here would know where I could find one.

Even if none of you know any personally, I would be open to suggestions on where to find one.

What part of PA?? If you're within reasonable traveling distance of Pittsburgh, I might be able to help you out.

Sometimes if you call your local hospital or insurance provider they have lists of who might help, your primary doctor may also be able to give you a referal. (Insurance Provider is usually the best first place to start so you know who to see that will be covered)

Have you tried calling Friends hospital on US 1 in Northeast Philly for a referral?

No I have mostly just been looking online. Looking at various sites trying many different key words with no real results. I still live with my parents so I have been going about it sort of oddly.

You also might want to call Chester-Crozier medical center, as well as the psychology dept of West Chester University for a referral or evaluation. Also, depending on where you live in Chester County, You might want to Call Lancaster General Hospital or Lancaster Osteopathic hospital for a referral.

Personally, I have a good therapist through WellSpan-Meadowlands, but York might be a little far for you to travel.

I might have to try making some calls to hospitals and alike.

If you live near Philly, try the Adult Developmental Disorders Program at UPenn. They have an ADHD program and a Social Learning Disorder (ASD) program.
