Does anyone here understand Daxflame?
If this is an inappropriate question, let me know and I will gladly delete it. I have no desire to encourage any haters.
I'm new to this site and to the concept of Asperger's. (I scored 'very likely an Aspie' on the test here.) I'm still trying to figure it all out. Back when I was in college, I worked at a mental health institute and learned the BIG difference between reading about a condition and seeing the real thing.
I am captivated by Daxflame on YouTube, but cannot figure him out. Is he an extreme Aspie? Some of the things that he says or does remind me of the questions on the Asperger's tests I've taken online. Does anyone here understand or relate to him?
I dunno. He might be fake. The one where he got stuck in a chair was kind of weird. I don't think anyone would put that video up unless it was a joke. If he accidentally got caught in the chair and made himself look foolish, I think he would have re-made the video instead of posting it.
You're not the only one who is intrigued, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYTeLwjVoqE
I think he is kind of fake...
he seems to relish in "oddities" and play upon them...I just don't think an Aspie would
"market" their differences in that fashion. He exaggerates everything.
plus...I am a Lisa Nova fan..and she smoked his ass! (stop wearing the short shorts!)

Just watched a bunch of his vids... dunno about anyone else, but I'm convinced he's a fake, lol. Too many times he's a bit too normal (as opposed to how EXTREME he is in others), and then gets caught up in it later after it gets going, and he mentioned in one, an apology type thing, that he got too wrapped up in subscribers, and was in competition with a few others. Pretty sure it was staged up to keep his competition going.
He never looks at the camera when he's supposed to be crying or in pain or anything, he's always looking down or hiding altogether. Of course, not many would want to be seen on camera crying, but not many would be making a big event out of wearing a superman costume on camera either, I would think unless it was just for laughs from people... he's a bit too played up for me to find him believable-he also really seems to enjoy looking stupid... granted we all have our "moments", but to have them at the same time every day and make sure to record them??? Also noticed his lisp is not steady...
no offense to anyone who believes the guy, but most ASD I have seen on videos attempt to show either a mildly silly side, an explanation of what it is, or they talk about things that are very intelligent. He really seems to embellish on just doing stupid thing after stupid thing (while using the camera)... and personally, if I were to ever make a vid, and had a million comments that I looked like an idiot or something similar, I probably wouldn't be asking for more by posting more videos.
