trying to pay off everything early so I can get 1 step closer to being able to provide for a family someday with less money burdens as possible when that time comes.

I'm trying really hard now to graduate on time after two years of doing pretty much nothing. I'm doing it.

I'm trying to do things a bit more for ME. I am taking a vacation. I am going to try new things--- such as Morroccoan cuisine. I am going to try and be more considerate ( so far not happening). I think if I make myself more happy it will indirectly make others happy by me not being such a grumpy person.

Here's a mantra that helps me when I get that way: "Courage is not the absence of fear, it's the willingness to face that fear." And I learned that from a Batman comic, so that doesn't preclude action figures. :)

You are very correct Spaceplayer! I am actually writting a book and the effects of fear on the behavior of Autistic/Aspergers. I have been researching the subject in great depth (see Aspie special interest/obsesion LOL) and have found that the chemistry of the brain and also physiology of the brain is greatly affected and even altered when the instinctive reaction of fear turns on the adrenaline production and that production affects the levels of testosterone in the body and brain.

As the Aspie brain and body is greatly sensitive to the level of adrenaline and thus also testosterone, fear has a much greater effect on us than on NTs.

The funny thing is that we are MORE afraid of fear than we are of what CAUSES the fear. Our brain takes things apart and we focus on details so instead of seeing the big picture when it comes to fearful situation, we analyze it, break it down in components and think that it is the components that CAUSED the fear instead of realizing that it is a reaction that was 'built in' our brain and body to protect us!

Yes, fear is the way nature make sure we all (all species) have a safety net. If you want to know more details, buy my book when it becomes available!

Star, I would be very interested in buying your book when it becomes available - what is the title going to be?

 Well, if it comes from the Dark Knight himself, who am I to disagree? :)

I wasn't really telling the whole truth, though. I have found two avenues that might help me on a personal level: a Buddhist meditation centre and a yoga class. When I've come back from my holiday in America (my first solo holiday ever!), I'm going to look them up. Anything to calm me down somewhat would be a good thing...

I had the same goal when I went through 12th grade. I succeeded in it, but then afterwards felt like I had wasted my chances for knowledge, and wished I had stayed for an additional year (and just ignore any jibes from other students about not having graduated yet). Once you’re “finished” with highschool, that’s it - you won’t get any more opportunities for free, structured education.

I quit my job! No more fitting my hobbies round a job - time to fit a job round my hobbies.

I'm currently reading a good deal of pragmatist philosophers, which is helping me cut through the tangled webs of my cluttered mind. I'm also studying basic computer programming to help me solve problems at work and do a good job. (I actually caught a simple error in code last week that saved the day. It really made me feel good and boosted my confidence.)

Mine is trying my hands at affiliate marketing and web design. This will be hard work, long hours and plenty of time studying. At the moment, I am the only one in the office, searching for affiliate guides and web-design tips.

My line manage know that I might end up hanging around late at work so she told a supervisor to kick me out before seven o’clock. She also warns me to come in so early in the morning to.

I am in the process of studying some Quickbooks CDs to become a Quickbooks ProAdvisor. I am also going through some review materials by the AIPB to take the certification exam to become a CB(Certified Bookkeeper). 8)

Calling up home colleges to see the best deals they have to finally get some qualifications, 6 years later than I should have, but better late than never, plus I'm finally in the right frame of mind to study and take them.

De-cluttering my entire apartment so I can hopefully move out next year with only a suitcase or two at the most, full of stuff.

Getting my health in order, and trying to get fit.

Hopefully have my social phobia and Agorophobia under order to come off disability pay and move on to unemployment. And then ask the Job employment agency if there are any jobs I can take without much interaction with people.

Learning about the stock market. And providing my partner with domestic and moral support while he studies for an MBA. Because him getting a management job would benefit both of us :)
