If you could go back in time to when you were in school around ages 11-13 AS the person you are now mentally (for just a visit), would you?

If going by the standard theory that if you mess with the past, you mess with the future, I don't know that I would like to - I would be running in and protecting my younger self from all the bad, and telling him/me to do certain things. As an observer, I would thinking oh no, what am I doing now? Stop it, you useless...oh piddle. Time travel to visit anywhen but my own past, a definite yes.

No! That was not a good time in my life! I'd rather have it erased from my memory.

By age 11 the special education had just started to wear off I would revisit if I could make them keep me with the weekly visits for special education to help me develop what was lacking. Would if I was kept on the visits I may have gone further in life....but things are not bad now so whatever I guess

Absolutely not! But if I did, I'd go back and tell myself how much things improve after they get worse. At the age of seventeen, my life made a pretty much 180-degree turnaround!

That part of my life was probably the most difficult of my life. After junior high, things improved dramatically.

That was a diffcult time in my life but i would not change it. It helped me establish the values and beliefs of finding the right women. If we had kids i would do every thing in my power to make the relationship with the women work as i don't want my kids going through a divorce.
One day i will find her.

If it means going through the idiotic teaching I would say no. I still remember the hours scribbling tight spirals in the Palmer Method to teach me how to write. They never came out with the tight precision required. I print now instead of writing letters.

I used to dream about this all the time... I've since come to realize that going back and doing things differently could prove to be far worse than the crap I've already sustained!

I would also experience the same agony that I (ironically) am right now... that of not having my dear wife and two wonderful children. At least in THIS time, I'll get them back in just another couple months. If I went back to that age, it would be another 20+ years.

There are some people I'd have rather not met, some experiences I'd have rather avoided - but I'd be a different person if I hadn't experienced them, and I might be a lesser person for it. Better to play with the cards I have now than doing nothing but wait longingly for a better hand.

I am still the same person I was then. That is one of my issues. I still act exactly as I did when I was about 11 or 12.

One of my sons , at the age of three, was struck by a car and rendered quadriplegic for the rest of his life while I was momentarily distracted. Now, that's something to f**k around with.

I could think of a few things I could do. I could start to go into computers a little earlier, avoid minix, prodos, raina, and coherent, and sco, and use linux earlier. Not stop my business to work for my then largest customer, MAYBE try to take advantage of the time, to look towards marriage(that last one is the only one I think could adversly affect me). I would also ask myself to swallow my pride, and work towards fluency in spanish, and encourage learning German earlier. OH YEAH, I would also tell me about how AS would be revealed in several years, and I should try to push towards being diagnosed.

If I could go back when I was 6 or earlier, that would be GREAT! I would tell myself to push harder to get my friend to avoid that trip around 72. He might have actually lived to this day!

Just for a visit...no way!
I wouldn't want to visit the worst time of my life again...I would rather forget about it. If I could go back in time and change some things though, then I would consider it.

No thank you. I'd rather forget about that part of my past.

Only if I could tell myself and my parents that I have finally discovered what was always wrong with me, so that they could possibly understand me and help me. It would change the future, but probably for the better.

I would tell myself to get properly diagnosed (to avoid further years of confusion & self blame), invest in a computer & drop out of school (personal reasons, american school was not productive for me).
