What's the most bizarre question you've ever gotten from someone (and was ostensibly related to your having ASD)?
I don't mean the more meathead-bully type questions, like "Are you gay?" or "Are you on drugs?" :x  Because we all know that those aren't genuine questions coming from a place of confusion... I'm talking more about those sort of questions where you can't really tell if the person's kidding, they're probably serious but borderline facetious...like these ones that I've actually gotten:

1. Were you born here? (Or, "Are you from another country or culture?")
2. Are you a Virgo (or insert other random zodiacal sign)?
3. Were you abused as a child?
4. Have you been in an institution?
5. Are you a communist?
6. Were you in a serious accident (or coma)?

When I've gotten these, I either flatly replied "no", or gave them a more passive-aggressive retort like "Uh, not that I'm aware of " or "Not that I recall", I mean, it's not like they deserve much better for asking such an inane question...

I did get some bizarre questions back in the time when I attended elementary school but I'm not sure if you mean those because those were ones asked by my bullies :x Like: "do you masturbate?" when I was 14 (I should have just replied: "no" - I'm asexual - but my answer was "that's none of your business" which instantly caused my bully to start to inform everybody around that I do masturbate because I told him that's "none of his business")  Or: "why are you so fugly?" You know, just your average bully BS.

Another bizarre question was in turn one from some classmate in high school - if I... love my father - and it was a moment later after I told her I had no father and I never saw him 8O 8O 8O Was she f*****g dumb or what? How can you love someone you never even saw for your entire life? 8O 8O 8O (I saw him just twice in my life later on - at 26 so like 10-11 years later.)

I was also exposed to some weird comments as well - when I was a teen, I heard how some girl from my elementary school class told her best friend that I was so awkward because... I came from a village (I moved into our town where I still live, at 6, I wasn't born here like them) to which said friend replied something like: "my aunt is also from a village and she is normal like everybody else" :o :?

But the sort of questions you meant - no, I never got any question like the ones you mentioned. Luckily.

Are you deaf?
Are you R*tarded?
Are you German?
Are you Austrian?

The strangest question that I was asked is "Are you German?" after telling a mentally challenged boy at my school that some kids in my regular class mocked my speech because my voice is deeper than average. I think he might have been on to something. I just didn't realize it at the time.

The only question I been asked was if I'm gay, because of my tomboyishness and past non-sexual obsessions with specific women. No, I'm not gay, I'm just too lazy to be a woman and I'm prone to getting obsessions with people. I've never been sexually attracted to a woman before, just obsessed. There is a difference. A bit like if you got obsessed with a car or an elephant, it doesn't mean you have sexual feelings for the car or elephant.
