In the absence of a ADHD diagnosis and/or a Ritalin prescription I'm relying on red bull to help me overcome my executive functioning deficits. Does it help you?

I can't have caffeine because it gives me a killer massive headache >,< Caffeine does calm me down a lot, though, otherwise. If it didn't mess with my head, it'd be a nice drink to put me to sleep.

It gives me a sugar rush and makes me feel very sick.

I don't particularly care for redbull due to the taste, but the caffeine in it can certainly be helpful.

I must be the weird one, because I enjoy both the taste and the feelings of euphoria.

It might be because I am Scottish and in Scotland there is a national drink called 'Irn Bru' that tastes rather similar. Like fruit salad.

Red bull tasted like chewable vitamin C with water added - a huge yuck in my opinion. Beyond taste it makes me jittery and nonfunctional. But most anything I am sensitive too - even the good vitamins.

Maybe there is the difference if you are hypo sensitive or hyper sensitive to stimuli.

Caffeine makes me jittery and or wired a lot of the time. But I guess it helps me with my executive dysfunction. I get more chore work done with it, but I'm a lot calmer and at peace without it. I wish there was a more happy medium. I don't drink much if any Red Bull for no particular reason. Usually it's coffee, Mountain Dew or Rock Star.

I don't drink Red Bull, but caffeine in general is barely enough to keep me awake.

I don't drink that (or any other stuff with all that sugar) as a rule, but I have tried Red Bull, Monster, and the others; just to see what they do. I can't understand why people drink them for "energy", because they make me sleepy. For a fitness nut, that's a perfect storm of a disaster: Something full of sugar that makes you inactive and sedated... Belly fat in a can!

I prefer the taste of coffee. I drink it black too. :D Energy drinks just taste gross and artificial to me. If I want something sweet I drink apple juice or a can of soda.

I've noticed that sometimes caffeine can make me sleepy too. I definitely can't rely on it to keep me awake while driving. It seems like the sleepiness is an after-effect. I'll be more alert for a short period and then crash extra heavy, and drinking more doesn't help beyond that tipping point.

It doesn't do very much at all to me.

I'm not hyperactive. I have never had any effect from 'red bull'.

I benefit from caffeine, ginseng, and like stimulants when I take them occasionally. For me, constant use results in tolerance, requiring higher consumption, and setting off a spiral that usually eventually results in undesirable side effects.

I'm only a teen, so really I'm too young for substantial amounts of caffeine.
I don't drink any Red Bull or any other energy drink like Lucozade or Monster. I do have little amounts of caffeine, though! In stuff like tea and Coke, both of which I drink often.
Speaking of tea, I have a mug every morning. It gets me ready for the day (along with breakfast!) :sunny:

Caffeine helps me immensely. I used to consume coffee 24/7, but I stick to black or green tea mostly now because I do drink so much of it. I don't like all the sugar in the energy drinks.
