no. agate is common. gem quality fire agate is the rarest multi color gemstone on earth

Strapple, the first fire agate I ever met looked like a simple rough rock and then I saw what was inside. I wet it and there was thos gorgeous light show in there.

i remember going out into the desert and finding fireagate. my pastor was a rockhound and took me out to the hills around blythe california and we we would hunt all weekend for the babies

I'm into precious metals but, I'm now starting to appreciate precious gems as well. The fire agates are awesome.
