Shopping is Torture

I HATE Walmart. But like others here, I shop there because it's cheap and works with my budget.

It's the same with Asda in the UK (who are owned by Wal-Mart). Hot, sweaty and noisy places with people everywhere. It's an effort not to keep bumping into people while walking round the store, I find. Fortunately, my local supermarket is quite a bit simpler on the eyes so things aren't so bad.

I've always had problems in stores. My mom knew when I raged that it wasn't some childish tantrum, it was from being overstimulated to the core. She was so smart, even when the other parents at the stores would tell her to discipline me properly.

To this day, I have to get in and out quickly before I lose my mind.

You are lucky that your Mum did understand.

I love car boot sales, but ONLY when I'm by myself, or with a very close and understand friend, as my parents spend at least 20 minutes on each stall. Now doing that in Guildford is torture, as the whole car boot sale is gigantic.

I am relieved that I am now 18 and I have options on whether I can go shopping with my Mum or not. I always refuse.

I needed to buy a new jacket yesterday but when I went to pay for it the assistant asked 'Is it for yourself ? ' I immediately felt guilty and selfish
because everyone is obviously buying Christmas presents .
When I do look for presents I'm wracked by indecision and feel like I'm
fighting against the clock.I can wander around the shops for a couple of
hours and all I've got to show for it is my newspaper.

Decision making = v. v. v. difficult.

What does she care? Why are people so nosy? Maybe you should have pretended to misunderstand, and say something like, "Sorry, I can't buy you one today!"
