Maybe I got diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome in childhood (unlike other Aspies my age) because I lived in the country and schools were a bit smaller and might have had better funding for disabilities? Had I grown up in the city or somewhere with bigger schools my AS might have gone unnoticed and I'd probably have just been the quiet kid at the back of the classroom my whole school life rather than brought to the spotlight and having to endure all these assessments and being labelled and singled out.

Even though my teachers always made remarks about me, I wasn't tested for any learning difficulty or disorder. I had a hard time in school socially and also keeping to the time schedule. I don't think Asperger or ADHD weren't that known where I grew up in the late 90s, unlike UK and USA, so there were a few kids who were always falling behind. But my really bad problems started between ages 10-12, when I started noticing how excluded I was from games and class.

I no longer feel as if I'm 8, 10, 14 or 16 year old in a body of an adult anymore.

I feel... Closer to agelessness.
I don't feel like I just turned 20 or 30.

It's just that I don't feel like a kid, teen or even an adult at all.

When I was a kid my parents took me camping and tied me on a rope to a picnic table after arriving at the campground.
That made some other campers were shocked by this but it was just so I wouldn't wander off the first chance I got while my parents were busy unpacking and setting up our camp stuff. I don't remember, I must have been three or four at the time. But yes, whenever I was in a new place I had to go and check out EVERYTHING, and my parents couldn't take their eyes of me for half a second.

I find I still often wander off when I'm out somewhere, but these days it's to get away from the people and noise and from being bored and restless.

I once had a rat that was autistic. He didn't like being touched by humans, which is unusual for a rat, so he'd aggressively bite you. He didn't mind being alone, despite rats being social creatures, although he was very dominant at the same time. He wouldn't mix with other rats unless they were babies. He was a very odd rat, not like any of the others I've had, and I've had 18 altogether (but not all at the same time). He was very intelligent though and would often tidy the cage and gently place all the poops into the litter tray if they weren't already in the litter tray. So I'm sure this rat had autism - or whatever the equivalent is for animals.

I actually sort of believe this, I’ve never met an autistic rat, but my old next door neighbour at my last house had an autistic cat, when he meowed he didn’t sound a cat and this caused serious social problems at night when you hear cats meowing so he stayed in at night and this would have caused real problems mating if hadn’t been done already. I think I might have met an autistic dog as well but that was more behaviour problems. But seriously autism does happen with animals, and I’ve read about it too

And its the old Gaslight by the business and his employess to get out of the one year warrantee on my AC unit they replaced . Awe, its like no one wants to be responsible for their work ,they did .? And soon out will come the bag of excuses they will throw at me ,,to see if any can stick . And last time the owner was very insulting ,afterwards .

I wonder if it's the case that just when we think we have it sorted the world changes again and we have to learn a new way
