Really like travelling by train. Airplanes are ok but the airports are stressfull. Don't like cars and busses. They tend to give me travel sickness.

Train too. I love train journeys, especially long ones.

The kind of train you still get in eastern europe with compartments in, and real old buffet cars, and corridors you can smoke in, and the stations with cafés to sit in drinking coffees, and people to watch, and those seats which slide down into beds for the night, and windows that actually open.

I love watching the countryside pass, so smoothly, and how you get an inside glimpse into people's back gardens, and farms, and little roads, and people stopped at level crossings.

I also like ferries, between greek islands on the way from Piraeus to Turkey, from Marseille to Corsica, or from Harwich to Hamburg across the North Sea. Cabins, and green painted decks, and salty spray, and the sea all around.

.

I'm into all kinds of transportation, though I've had some bad experiences with Greyhound (never going to set foot on one of those again)

America needs more trains

Walking (or running, depending on what mood I'm in).

There is no better way to observe and take in everything around you than by doing a good long walk. Although walking through farmland on the side of a highway where nothing much changes from kilometer to kilometer might get a bit tiresome after a couple of hours. Or the desert, because the glare gives me really bad headaches.

Train! and first class.
I have made several trips in diffrent counties with long distance trainrides these latest years
Planes suck, its boring and all fuzz with airports is a pain in the a**
Once I stuck in an airport when the passport guards claimed my passport was false and I missed my flight...
Since then I dislike travel by air even more

i dont travel either, cant even handle an hour ride, need weighted blanket, noise cancelling headphones, ipod, biting stim toys, visual stim toys, my rubber keyboard, my rubber phone, need food, need drinks, need to have change of clothes, cant be too hot or too cold, hahaha, and so much more. if i had to travel far like from ny-fl it would have to be prob be plane cuz i cant handle being in one place too long i freak, and in the car ill literally jump out of a moving car, and take off, or slam my head into the window as hard as i can until they let me out, so plane is fastest way i guess.

Yeah I've always loved trains as well ever since I was a baby. I don't like flying that much now the more I fly the more I become scared of it. Cars are okay but can be a rather boring way to travel at times and buses are okay (but there so unreliable here!)

Flying is okay but I like to go on an under-loaded aircraft where I can have some room. A full passenger compartment of noisy people in such close proximity to me about drives me nuts.
I'd just as soon drive. It takes longer and isn't as safe but I'm in my own vehicle where I have plenty of room.
I prefer to travel on the freeway at night when traffic is minimal because too much traffic is annoying and stressful, too.

I don't like planes, but I love wandering around airports. Boats suck, trains double suck, and cars are heaven :D

To be a bit less specific than my previous post (though that was quite serious), any kind of sea travel is great for me, and I also rather like trains.

I really don't mind flying itself at all. Unfortunately all the stupid security one has to endure these days is extremely unpleasant (especially in the US and UK where you have to do the stupid shoe thing), and flying within the US has lost all pretense of being civilized. The US has perhaps the worst airlines in the world, from a passenger comfort standpoint.

Cars ... driving on the open road is nice, sitting in traffic or driving (even without it) along boring US Interstates is just not pleasant. I like cars themselves, as objects, though not as a mode of transport.

Let me first say that I dislike flying. I have told myself and family "I will never fly again."

The majority of our (family) travel is by car. I don't mind doing most of the driving, but I do appreciate when my wife helps out. After my blood clot in my right leg and pulmonary embolism, I take frequent stops so I can stretch my legs.

I like going by AmTrak if I have privacy. My wife has a business trip to Chicago later this summer, and since I am going with her she has gotten us tickets for a private sleeping room. Most of the train trip will be through the night---so I can stretch out on the bed rather than being miserable in a standard seat.

I like airports. The bigger and more diverse the airlines and destinations, the better.
