If NT, who would you want to be?
But, for all those with cat avatars! Attention: TESLA. Lab Pet's cat. Tesla is a Russian Blue and says "hi' to all of you cat lovers, and KingdomOfRats vision of being a male maine coon cat - with all the kitty food without being called 'greedy.' So, from Tesla, hi to viperaAspis, Callista, KingdomOfRats, Kaleido, and others. And millie's pup.

beautiful animals! beautiful cats. beautiful dogs. (peggy is my dog's name.)
I also have a pedigree Devon Rex (bald cat) seal point colouring with bright blue eyes. His name is William. William says hi to all the WP animals.
Last Friday I went for a walk on the University trails with my male friend. We met a beautiful gelding named 'Frostbite.' He was born unexpectedly by a neglected mother (she's now dead) but Frostbite was adopted by a wonderful woman who cares for animals, donating her time to children who need OT, such as animal therapy. This is Frostbite's vocation! When Frostbite was born (Interior AK is frigid cold in winter) part of his ears were frozen off, hence his name.
Ok, if I were NT, maybe I would be that outgoing lady who raises horses like Frostbite, teaching children to ride on the trails. She would be one I could be, if NT. She spoke very fondly about Frostbite.....I wish I could speak like her. And be liked. And understood. With her confidence.
I did get to pet Frostbite...and his jagged ears.

HEY! But shouldn't Tesla be... (wait for it... wait for it.... here it is:) COILED like for a pounce? Haha, get it? Tesla Coil? Bwahahahahaha!
Wow, I amuse easily. "Hi Tesla! Watch out for LabPet's robot V8! It wouldn't digest well."
Regarding Frostbite: Oh, his EARS! I thought he was named after something else, given that he's a gelding and all. Jeez, now my 'boys' are feelin' cold.

I've never thought about this before.
I might like to be Dana Scully on "The X-Files", that's if I'm allowed to choose a character? If not, if I have to choose a real person then I wouldn't know. I don't know many real people and there's no way I'd want to be anyone from my family.

So sorry Frostbite lost part of his ears upon his birth......his mother was neglected. Frostbite was rescued and now lives a happy life.
I like Dana Scully too - she would be one I would like to be, if NT. Good choice.

Well the problem I have had in the past is that I have had some NT heros, these were living people who I had meet going about my activities. The problem is that many of the heros I have had I have later discovered to have feet of clay. I am unsure of which NT I would like to be.

LabPet,
Tesla has got deep beauty, very nice breed and colour-tell her:
"wweewrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtuioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogffffffffffffffffffffffffklmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" [no idea what it means but it's what they like typing when they walk on the keyboard].
They dont make meowmix over here, but it looks like gocat.
Callista,
some cats are super NT,[sam was one until she developed feline dementia, she then became super non NT] they either seem to be one or the other-in extreme.
some colours though seem to be very non NT-tortie blends?
and siamiese cats seem to be very NT like.
Maine coons probably wasnt the best one to pick though as they are quite different,Biscuit is only a MC X, and she's as crazy as they come-she's also very autie like,so would not be a calico MC [like her].
Sorry LabPet [cats taking over thread]. ![]()

Well I think that Tesla is a nice looking fellow, he is a nice looking cat and he is sitting on pretty bed spread thing (Did Labpet make her own bedspread ?). Also is he magnetic, after all the Tesla is the unit of magnetic field strength
I think that the Maine Coon's are nice looking cats but I would rather have either a black and brown tabby or a turkish van. The van cat enjoys swiming, I would love to see the sight of the cat going for a swim and catching fish.
Siamiese cats look very nice, but my wife refuses to even consider the idea of having one as she says that they are not friendly.

There is no specific person I'd like to be, but I would like to be a doctor. I love medically things, not just the scientific stuff but the care of patients interests me as well. And I'd love to know my career is very useful to people and always will be, anywhere in the world.
But I can't picture myself coping with a career in medicine - I don't cope well with stress, I am too sensitive, my social communcation skills aren't good enough in my opinion, my motor co-ordination is often poor, I would feel fed up with people by the end of most days and it would therefore make it very hard to have friends.
LabPet - I just looked at a bit of your video - it makes me happy to see an autistic scientist! I want to be a scientist. ![]()

One of those people who "ticks all the social and occupational boxes" but only for a few days. Your typical "well rounded" individual that everyone wants to invite over for coffee.
Someone who's not fantastically knowledgeable in any one topic area, but is competently good enough make it through by the "skin of her teeth" if necessary.
These kind of people could be considered "balanced" with enough NT traits to be quite popular, but enough AS traits to concentrate on the task at hand without becoming too distracted. I've met many people like this and people like them.
Ideally someone who can switch her attention between the physical and social environments, without getting completely "lost" in either.
As a short "holiday", I'd like to transform into a: confident, multi-tasking, smily, chatty woman who organises lots of community/social events and goes out every Saturday evening with her friends. Someone who wouldn't have any trouble approaching other people in the street or chatting to the cashier.
It would be an interesting experience!
Like a foreign country, I just wouldn't want to live there all the time though, it would affect my creativity and my unique view of the world. I'd also forget things periodically and lose track of objects. But that wouldn't matter because I'd have my social finesse to "cover my back"...
I'd also become more oblivious to my physical surroundings: I don't think I'd like that...
After a while, it just wouldn't be me...
It'd also be pretty exhausting trying to arrange my life around everyone-else and worrying whether people are spreading rumours behind my back or not...
haha i agree with KOR, i want to be a maine coot cat, but female hehe, my cats have the life and ppl call them weird and everything but they still get more respect and acceptance.
As a person though idk, i sometimes wish i can be an NT any NT who can take care of themselves without a problem, understand what is said or what is read without a problem, have a converation whenver they want to, but if i had to pick one, itll probably be Mother Teresa, to me she is such an inspiration, and i wish i could do just as much as her in life.
NT on here, i would prob like to be any one of these parents who are NT with an autistic child just to see autism from their point of view, how it may seem.

You know, thinking about it that would be one of mine. It's possibly what I might have gotten into at an earlier age if I'd known I had the people skills to do it. The human body and its structure fascinates me. Plus, I know some doctors - women doctors in particular - whom I think do a really great job. I suspect I might have ended up in gynecology.
What happened, in the end, is that by a series of bizarre accidents I ended up working in a pathology lab, where you only ever see little bits of patients. You don't have to make small talk to an appendix.

In Alaska there are lynx! Lynx are quite rarely sighted since they're very shy and 'people elusive' but I have seen them. Alaskan lynx are golden in color and swift-moving; good hunters.
Thank you, Kajjie: Many Autists have that science inclination.
