How do you remember music?

When I tell people they're singing something wrong, or they quoted a movie or song incorrectly they often say, "Oh? Well go listen to it again and tell me if i'm wrong." And i'm like, "No. I remember it." And they don't believe me. I hear comedy hours in my head, down to any feedback on the mike and the subtle background noise of the crowd cheering or booing or calling out things loud enough to be picked up on the mike.
