1. The Kinks, because they've always been my favourite group, since I could remember.

2. I'm also going to pick The Beatles to become obsessed with.

I'll be buying twice the CDs, now. I'd better start going into Labour Unlimited, four times a month. $$$$$$$ I'll need twice the money to buy twice the music.

Who's yer favourite Beatle then? Mine's Ringo (yes has liked the Beatles for years and is becoming obsessed again thanks to Beatles Rock Band and the rereleased remasters)

watching dvds and watching war shows and documentaries on Youtube.I love history of war (ww1 and ww2 and Vietnam)

i really want to guide my AS obsessions toward music.. without wanting to sound arrogant, i think i could be really quite good.
alas, i think i will be "stuck" with video games for a while yet..
unfortunately i also have very severe OCD mostly concerning germs & "contamination".. almost textbook mysophobia, like Nikola Tesla.. without the brilliant knowledge of science. :cry:

I know how you feel... I used to be the same way. Have you thought about going on medication? I went on medication, and my OCD is completely gone.

thought about it yes.. but given the nature of my obsessions i don't think SSRI's could possibly rid me of OCD.. maybe reduce anxiety at most. i imagine the only "way out" is through years of CBT.. i'd very much like to be wrong though..
would you mind explaining how your OCD affected you specifically? & were you diagnosed? don't feel obligated to answer, just curious..

Music is my main obsession. Always has and will be. I alwas have other smaller ones on the go at the same time. Right now it's Andy Warhol and the film 'Factory Girl'.

I have been reading more. That is literally a NY resolution that I have kept.
Late last year I got into astronomy and for Christmas I was given books, fact guides, magazines and even a subscription to Sky and Night magazine. I also bought a telescope which I'll get posted to me tomorrow. Not sure how long it will take.
This telescope is going to be a big obsession for me this year.
A continuing obsession for me is my story writing, oh and photography.

Other than reading, my obsessions for this year seem to be shaping up to be linguistic. Etymology is my current one and will be for a while, then it will be Classic Latin and possibly Classic Greek after.
