I am a creature of the night, so my morning routine usually involves sleep and nothing else (though obviously not today, since it is 9:00 A.M.).
When I am up in the morning, I shower and groom, dress for the day, make the bed and straighten up the apartment (I can't leave home until it's done), feed the cats if necessary, read the news online via email newsletters (The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, (Raleigh) News and Observer, Charlotte Observer, Wilmington Star-News, The Guardian, The Scotsman, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and Sydney Morning Herald), check out ESPN, The Daily Kos, Huffington Post and Wrong Planet, and finally eat breakfast with a cup of tea.
I am probably the only native Southerner who hates iced tea but loves it hot; all the caffeine in coffee makes me jittery.
