When people refer to apes as monkeys, I cannot let it go, even to this day with much practice. That's the worst of it for me. I get very upset; less so in my adult life, but I will not let it go. Since I got a smartphone last year, I've used it several times as evidence of the point. I don't know why it bothers me so much.

I always figured it was ego and people don't like to be wrong. They are still wrong even if they aren't corrected. And they say aspies always have to be right? I see it in other people too. By how they act when they get corrected, I act better than that.

I also feel stupid when I am wrong so perhaps that's how others feel when they are wrong. But I still feel the urge to correct people because I hate hearing the wrong things and I don't want them to keep being wrong about it. That's how I feel about myself so I like to be corrected. Why can't others feel the same way?

It probably happens because both people think they are right. Someone has to be wrong or they won't be disagreeing with each other. So when neither backs down an argument ensues.

It's different with opinions. I won't argue with that. If someone's opinion upsets me too much, I quit discussing it with them. There are topics out there I will not touch with certain people.

But when it comes to facts, it drives me crazy. It's like arguing about the sky being green or whales being fish.

my Special interest is video games, the Zelda and Metroid series in particular. People who get things wrong about them and continue to argue are aggravating but I'm too impatient to continue to argue.
