Since Social Security...SSI...is a FEDERAL government program, not a State program your Congressman should be able to help you, too. He is your Federal public servant and you should contact his region office in your home community.


I will write to him as well. I am aware it is a federal program. :) Thanks for the advice.

Well, it does "cost" to do the LLC route, but the idea is have stuff owned in a corporate entity NOT owned in your name.

It's sad that criminals are the model for how to deal with government bureaucrats.

It's one of the reasons I tell people to not keep money in a bank. A bank readily reports every penny you have to the government. If you need help but have to fear having too much of an "emergency fund," the only answer is to use cash and keep it stored someplace safe. Nobody can know you have it unless you tell them.
