I'm not diagnosing her, but Lady Gaga has some traits.

I don't see the purpose of such labeling, aspies trying to 'diagnose' others seem a bit ironic to me as they 'always' complain about being labeled themselves. Plus, it's just speculations anyway, like einstein, newton etc.
I say 'don't fix what's not broken' - lady gaga is not. A diagnose is there so you can get the help you need . I say leave Gaga alone, a label like AS is of no use -she's doing fine on her own, and besides I find it very unlikely that she has AS. I don't think any aspies would enjoy all the attention as social commitments that is associated with being a profiled singer.

She may actually be but her actual look was passed down to her from a girl who goes by M.I.A. That is how artists in the corporate world are often made. Before she was the eccentric blonde Lady Gaga this is how she looked.

Lady Gaga in 2007-

and M.I.A is the girl that was the blueprint for her look (Not sure if even Lady Gaga is aware of it) and she has had some of her video ideas swiped by another mainstream artists as well. Lady Gaga's style sounds nothing like M.I.A however, it was just the "look".

A M.I.A song, the only thing I don't like is the gunshot noise.

It's hard to comprehend what it's like to be an aspie and a performer because you have to overcome alot and to do that you end up doing your own odd things and no matter how you play the game, during interviews, you are still somewhat akward.

...Then again, you never know when it is just a schtick.

Anyways, I prefer M.I.A because alot of these girls out are over sexualizing everything and M.I.A. writes about truthful subjects. Our media likes it that way and you have to as a female be sexual if you want to even get your music heard now. M.I.A has a new song out. The video is very graphic but it's about racism and redheads how they are treated. "Gingers" (This may actually be the edited version because the actual video was banned)

flyingkittycat.

Yes the fact that her look changed so dramaticaly in only a few years makes me think it's a persona used for the media. However, she has covered this in interviews by say she hadn't "discovered herself" until only a few years ago. i think she said she was 21 or 22. Anyways, the M.I.A comparison is one I've never heard or thought of before. I see the glasses and the wig but that only accounts for one of her many hundreds (it seems) of looks. Plus the actual clothes M.I.A had on were not very similar to anything Gaga would wear. They weren't really avant gaurde enough...in my opinion.

I do like M.I.A. though and appreciate her music. Also, thanks for posting that song about gingers. I am one and I can definitely say I've face discrimination that nobody acknowledges. It's a forgotten minority that's ok to dislike.

Lady Gaga looks and sounds almost identical to several female pop artists at some stage in their career; the only difference is that there is no meaning or relevance behind anything she does. She presents herself the way she does only because she wants attention and for people to go, "oh my god, Lady Gaga is so cool and weird!". She is commercialising and glamourising the act of being a slu*ty whore ("I want to take a ride on your disco stick") and I find it frankly sickening that she's currently the most popular musician in the world.

And I actually agree with what Chris Crocker said in one of his videos; people are starting to accuse anyone who looks or acts similar to Lady Gaga of imitating her. Christina Aguilera has recently been accused of ripping off Lady Gaga with her new look, but anyone who actually knows her will realise that she's always been daring as an artist and that her image has never consistently stayed the same. Normally it would be perfectly valid to accuse an artist of ripping off another artist, but Lady Gaga isn't original, so it's like accusing a male performer of imitating Michael Jackson by dancing on stage.

I love the music, it's well produced throwaway pop. Pop is something you wipe your ass with, and get rid of. So I liken Lady Gaga to wiping with a silk handkerchief.

Take it at face value, you'll be happier I suspect.

I think it is a possiblity but she could perhaps be histrionic or something.

One thing I know is that when was younger I behaved a little bit like her, I used to carry favourite objects around, and I tried to project a persona, because my actual personality seemed to get me disliked, so I thought if I acted as weird as possible it would at least entertain others.

She looks like a lot of femal pop artist because they are all blonde. Her music is however, unique. There is no point in arguing everything else you said because your mind is obviously already made. Just leave this thread alone then and let me continue to be inspired by a true artist, which you would probably recognize if you had any real knowledge of her.

Are you aware that Lady Gaga's dress ups are just part of the show?
