I dont ever remember having meltdown dreams that I was aware of.

I did however punch my, now, ex boyfriend in my sleep when he tried some prince charming thing and kiss me in my sleep. Well If I known then what I known now, I would have known that my punching him was telling as he became abusive to me later in the relationship.

Anyway to answer you question as to why lexipro would could meltdowns in dreams but not in waking life...I think your unconscous mind thinks that you are suppressing your urge to express yourself fully.

Or maybe the medicine wears off by the time you go to sleep and all the instability happens in your dreams.

I had a meltdown in a dream recently. It was a complete meltdown and shutdown and I remember it well. I was under a lot of stress at the time and I was fearful of having a meltdown.

Same here. It was a meltdown in public in my dream and it was terrible. I hate having meltdowns and try to escape situations before I have one in the reality. But in the dream that wasn´t possible.

That´s an interesting thread. I searched if there´s one before posting a new one with the topic and so I found it. I just was interested, if someone else has dreams of meltdowns.

Although I express negative feelings a lot when I'm awake, I still have them in my dreams too. But in my dreams, everything's a lot different. While I'm having this scream tantrum, people around me are calm and are not getting affected by it at all. They're just all carrying on happily with their day as though I'm not there having this tantrum. In real life, my meltdowns making other people miserable, which is understandable.

The meltdowns in my dreams are usually caused by what triggers off meltdowns in real life.

Who has meltdowns in their dreams? I often have them since I have been on Lexapro. Before Lexapro I would have them in dreams but not as much, I would have them in real life. Now I dont meltdown as much as I used to IRL before starting Lexapro, all the meltdowns are in my dreams, its weird.

Something silly usually happens and I start melting down. IRL things bother me, but I have learned to control my anxiety and anger better. Do you think the feelings that I hide about things come out more, therefore causing a meltdown in my dream?

Yes. I have meltdowns in my dreams and also in my imagination (I also hand flap and rock in my imagination too) when I am thinking about scenarios that might happen, or have happened. I do think it's a product of holding things in because you know socially it would be unacceptable. However, there will be a point for everyone where it's too overwhelming and unacceptability goes out of the window and you just meltdown IRL anyway.
