It looks like this Autism Rape and Awareness video has gotten all negative comments.

I am offended.

It is we who are in danger of genocide. The "treatments" inflicted on autistics include:
-shock therapy (not ECT, which is painless, but electric shocks designed to cause suffering)
-chemical castration
-use of powerful neuroleptics, which can cause mental fog and permanent tics

Let's not forget the list of autistics who were murdered, many for being autistic, and whose killers (in general) got exceptionally light sentences.

I have never intended anything disparaging by my use of the word "neurotypical," and although I do occasionally make disparaging comments about NTs as a whole, I respect them as an important part of human diversity, and would not dream of eliminating them or intentionally causing them (or anyone else) the sort of pain inflicted on victims of the holocaust.

Those quotes are taken out of context. I don't deny that some of the people here say things that I would not go so far as to say, but the context is still important. I do not condone violence or revenge and do not make posts saying that awful things should be done to people, but I understand why other members call for blood in certain cases. After all, a lot of these people do things to their children that would never be condoned if the children were not autistic, things which might even be called torture, and yet do not in general receive the condemnation that they could expect if their victims were neurotypical. The members here perceive an overall pattern of hideous things being inflicted on people like us (in some cases on us). They respond emotionally.

Also, please don't say that we have "disease-ravaged brains."

It is true that there have been threads on WP which could give the impression that we would like to see the extinction of NTs. There was a thread a while back asking what the world would be like if the human race were mostly autistic rather than mostly NT. It's important to realize, however, that this thread was just speculation, and just for fun.

I regret to inform you that there are no actual plans for world domination. There is a smattering of posts on the site referring to such plans. However, the people who say such things are employing an arcane rhetorical technique known as sarcasm, which involves saying something you do not mean. In other words, when you hear us talk about world domination, it's a joke.

My understanding is that the person behind the "Autism Rape" videos is a teenage girl whose female friend was raped by an autistic boy. This is her revenge. There's a lot we don't know about this incident, and can't assume, since autistics have varying functioning levels. Was this a form of "date rape", did the autistic boy assume that he would have sex with this girl if he went out on a date with her, did he understand that when she says "NO" it means STOP? Believe it or not, there's cases where a boy didn't know that "no means stop" and thought he was "entitled" to sex. Since Americans leave the teaching of sexual mores to peers and Hollywood, crossed signals are inevitable.

Autistics can't pick up on various "clues" that a girl might give that she does NOT want sex. That doesn't excuse what he did, but it doesn't make him a sexual predator either, much less make the REST of us sexual predators. Teen sexual acting out takes all sorts of weird forms, much of it dependent on hormones.

There was a case here in Sacramento where a post-pubescent 15 year old boy had such bad hormonal problems that he was NOT able to control himself, and ultimately forced a girl into a school bathroom and raped her. The boy didn't initially understand that it was wrong, and when it was explained to him he was remorseful. Everybody agreed that the poor kid was NOT a predator but a boy with such intense hormonal urges that he couldn't stop himself. He was still sent to youth prison, but everybody realized that it wasn't entirely his fault, or hers.

Autistic boys tend to have little to no control over their urges, it's part of OCD, and I've heard cases where autistic boys "acted out" in a sexual manner, although it wasn't rape. Autism and adolescence can be an explosive combination. I don't know what happened here or what the girl told her friend to send her on this rampage, but she seems intent on trashing autistics.

I responded to the persons channel and got a whole lot of irrational nutty comments back. The channel owner is insane

I'm not surprised, but I am disgusted.

People have been saying similar things for a few years now. Someone was bound to put these hateful and ill informed opinions on youtube eventually.

It's a shame this site was dragged into it.

I disagree- this girl's channel states that she has autism and asperger's.

Which isn't fair, I expected a stupid troll. Not fun.

You know I tried to make some sense of it and wanted to know his/her sources for a lot of this. I know there's been some nasty topics here before but I don't believe for a moment that reflects on the WP community at large. I even tried to find some of those old topics referenced in the videos, but couldn't find them. (Maybe the mods deleted them since they probably were too negative, or they could still be around and I missed them.)

The other vid user he/she referenced though didn't make much sense to me. It was basically some person obsessed with Russian rape during WWII... Actually I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same person as the videos there have the exact same style. Yes, there were some comments about WP hate there but it is hard to understand where any of it came from. Most of it seemed more like the work of youtube trollers and possible /b/tards.

I'm getting the feeling this is some disturbed former member of the site.

That makes it even worse.

The video evidence, u-har. Only one or two replies from some thread or other, and JUST the reply? You know this leaves out any kind of motive for such a reply, because they aren't prooveing WHY they reply that way, and what they are actualy replying to?

Denying the fact that parents, curious spouses of Aspies, kids, ect. come to WP to discuss anything from cotton balls to the flavore of lolly pops. Like any message board, it has a troll from time to time, obviously. Every message board has a variety of members, not assembly droids. "We are borge!"

Anyone who can read, should be able to find themselves quite a few readable threads in WP without being a member, and see that it isn't based off of ruleing the world, and @#$ing people! All they have to do, it put Wrong Planet in the search box. No problem!

This person has been doing that for years. The blogs and videos and I highly doubt the person making these videos really had a friend who was raped by someone with autism. Just trying to validate their hate.

So the question is, is this one of these autism speaks drama queens, someone who just hates people with autism or someone who just hates wrongplanet and has a personality problem?

Also, the original poster has 1 post. I am assuming this poster is the one making these videos which is a cry for their own personal attention and view count to go up perhaps to make themselves feel like they are getting gratification from the attention they receive. It's much easier to attract attention through negativity than it is through positivity. It makes the person making the video appear lazy and ignorant. It's sad but people like that REALLLLY love attention and will get emo if the attention isn't coming their way or do something stupid or just mean.

To the maker of these videos, for once in your life, look in the mirror. Do you really like what you see? Think about what kind of person you are. Are you in denial or are you realistic about your own personal flaws? Do you project onto others of what you really are on the inside in hopes of painting the picture of your own personal perception?

If yes, the problem is you.

Alex, sue these bastards for libel. You're well within your right to.

the sad part is that she wont listen to anything anyone here says because shes so strongly opposed to us.

So we should ignore it until they get high views and most people have seen them.

Once the videos have 10,000 views, at least 40,000 people will be belivers of the information, as each viewer will mention the information to at least three friends. This model doesn't even account for the number of those friends who would tell other people.

The worst part is, the people who will be told the information will likely be parents of Autistic children, and so there will be a generation of Autistic children growing up thinking this is a hate site.
