Mine are books--I get upset if I'm going somewhere that might possibly be stressful if I can't carry along a book--and my beloved dogs, although I suppose they don't count as 'comfort objects.'

It doesn't matter which book, as long as it's interesting. It doesn't even have to be one of my books. It just needs to be there in case I get bored or overwhelmed, in which case I will find a place that is quiet and out of the way and read until I feel better. Stuffed animals have never had the effect on me that my books have.

Oh, and my computer. It serves roughly the same purpose as my books do, except it's less portable.

My Laptop also serves as a Comfort Item.

Yeah, things I might need are essentials for me too. I can't leave the house without my bag filled with a fan in case I get too hot, a bottle of water (I'm really cautious about overheating, as I'm sensitive to heat), paracetamol in case I or someone else is ill, throat lozenges (I suffer from health anxiety disorder, so it's just nice to know I have medicine available) and my mobile phone, plus other things too. Basically, it feels like I'm carrying a brick in my bag by the time I'm finished. :P

My boys and I walk around wrapped in our fleece blankets around the house. Each one is a different color so they don't get mixed up. My husband just shakes his head at our Linus-looking trio. :D

My stuffed wolf, Wolfie......as well as my phone and shipping knife....the last two would have to suffice at work since it wouldn't be a great idea bringing Wolfie to work.

I have a favorite blanket, too - it's my Cars blanket with Lightning McQueen and the Piston Cup race insignia on it. :D I don't wrap myself up in it and walk around, but I did the first night I got it....I opened it as an early Christmas present, and fell in love. I've had it for about 5 years now, and take it with me almost everywhere: to the dorms, to my mom's house, my dad's house, my aunt's house, my grandparents' house, on trips....

It's a very comforting blanket....I never really attached myself to a proper blanket when I was young, so I guess I'm doing it now. :D
