There have been two times in my life, and with the other being a bit more dramatic (at least in some ways), when I have been shocked by the discovery of others like myself ... and in this particular case, I cannot imagine how I missed finding this ad-hoc assembly much sooner.

Have you yet happened across any of Tony Atwood's Books? And along with some of those, I have also enjoyed William Stillman's.

I've been reading your posts about how you learnt social rules by observation and experimentation. I think an NT person (like me) does a similar thing effectively with learning social behaviour and mannerisms etc in that they do observe and experiment and learn - but at a different level of consioucness in the brain, perhaps at a less intellectual more intrinsic level. Thats a guess on my part.

How did you develop an understanding of others emotions?

I've just watched the Temple Grandin movie, she had to be taught those things when she was older by her aunt..e.g. 'this expression is anger', 'that one is a satisfied look' etc. I've read one of her books but the movie was just that much clearer to me, it was awesome.

Can you tell us what was your next step, and then your next step in the process?

WHat are you capable of nowadays?

Do you have a social life?

Do you go out to pubs?

Do you have many friends?

What is your hobbies?
