I agree fully with this, too much media coverage of autism is like that. As are a lot of organsations. Mentioning no names, of course.

As for the rest of it, I must admit I only skimmed it as it was so long, but I like isolation. Every day when I get home from school I lock myself in my room for the rest of the day for that very reason. My mum hates me for it, but I couldn't care less. I like it.

well I'm not isolated and I love my kids. They get lonely too but we are all happy at home and somehow the happiest place for me is at home with my children. I miss the lines of our old house it's hard to explain and the old familiar patterns of the house.
Right now I just don't have it in me to go out and meet new people.
