God, I get what you mean about the cancelled plans thing!
I'll be all geared up for it, really ready for everything, and then someone will go "well...it wasn't really a SET plan, was it? we'll do it next week, when I have more time...". This is usually family rather than other people, because my parents are notoriously bad cancellers (they're not the most outgoing people either).
