It's still a one-line comment thrown at you as you were leaving and it's not like he cornered you and gave you a lecture about why, in his idiotic opinion, you should be neutered.

Well, at least you know the view of this character and his view isn't worth listening to.
It's not real; it's without reasoning; it's baseless - it's just a throw-away, thoughtless and insensitive opinion.
You already know he's way off-beam about this and there's nothing to be gained by trying to examine any hidden motives or meanings.
He is wrong; his view is invalid. It doesn't matter.

It's not always possible to know with any precision, but what really matters is how you feel about yourself.

It's just that one guy who said it and he could be obnoxious and like that with people in general. Maybe he just has that wise-ass personality and he says things he thinks are really witty and are going to earn him brownie points for being a comedian.
Maybe he says that to all guys when they leave, it's just his personality. That comment doesn't imply they think you are a ret*d, it just sounds like the sort of flippant comment some guys make, or it could be some slang phrase that someone just came up with and that will be the standard "goodbye" from now on. I wouldn't worry what people think of me anyway.
