My attention span well its obessive. I have OCD on top of my AS so I can bear reading through lenghty posts but if its not intregin I'm not going to read it.

I had a good attention span, but recently its got shorter and shorter.

Luckily I'm in high school and manage to keep ahead abit so it doesn't really change anything.

It depends what it is really. I'm not the best in the world at reading books and find myself having to read a paragraph or a sentence again because I couldn't really concentrate on it the first time round.

If I'm really interested in something, my attention span is never ending, or if its an issue that I have (good or bad), I will turn it into something serious, analyse it and focus on it.

If I find something really dull, boring or I hate it, or I don't actually feel its important, my attention span is s**t. I get told usually by other people that 'such and such is important and I must do it', but if it means nothing to me I just think 'sod it'.

I find that - I can read the long ones if they're interesting, but only if they're split up into paragraphs. I tried reading an article on here - I think it was about AS and social issues, or something. I'd have been interested but it has no paragraphs - I just cannot concentrate on something like that. I doubt anyone can (NT, AS or otherwise) so I'm puzzled as to why it was allowed to be submitted without paragraphs ...

It varies on whatever I am supposed to be concentrating on. If it has little interest for me, I have an extremely hard time concentrating. If it is something that interests me, then usually I can easily slip into hyper-focus and have an attention span of probably a solid hour. That is a rough estimate, anyway.

With stuff I'm not interested in my attention span is waaaay short.
With stuff I'm very interested in I can hyperfocus like crazy. The type of attention where I can spend hours doing something and miss meals and stay up too late.

Attention span? mine is... HEY! LOOK A BIRD!

It tends to be short if I don't like what I'm doing, otherwise it's usually fine...

When I'm interested in something I can focus like you wouldn't believe. But when it is boring I can't finish a sentence. At work I'm horrible at focusing And it really annoys my boss!

Depends. If I am very interested in something, I can focus on it for hours. But everything else? Well...The rock analogy is perfect for that.

I find my attention span frustrating sometimes, especially when I can't concentrate on something that I know I have to complete.
