I can hear 22khz but very faintly. It's weird 21khz is very loud to me, yet I can barely hear 22khz. I'm in my 20s.

22 with headphones. But the sound sounds very weird.

I can hear 16 very well without the headphones.

Oh I am sorry... I forgot to mention that can happen if you are below 18

That would have been good to know. I think I have internal ear bleeding?

I'm under 18, and I can hear 21khz. I first tried 18khz and it hurt my ears.

This test is full of crap. At first I could only hear up to 17kHz, but then I turned the volume up all the way and put my ear right next to the speaker and I could hear all of them.

I only had my volume turned up halfway.

I'm just saying, the results should be skewed due to the differences in audio outputs. Now that I just looked it up, my speakers only output sounds from 20Hz to 20kHz. The differences in volume once I went into the 16kHz range and up dropped off dramatically. I believe this is not because of my hearing, but because of the audio output device itself.

Interesting - I am under the impression I have near-perfect human hearing (due to regular employment-based hearing tests)
....despite going to a few too many loud concerts in my teen years!....

I am 35 & using headphones, set the the volume I like to listen to music at, I can hear what I'm supposed to for my age - ie 15Khz (39 & younger)

If I turn the volume up, I continue to be able to hear 16Khz (30 & younger) & 17Khz (24 & younger), I don't have particularly good headphones (and the sound quality is affected by the fact they are rather chewed, as that is one of my stims). I believe I would hear slightly higher frequencies with better equipment....but doubt I'd get to 21Khz :o

I hear all the clicks, which are the start and end of the recordings. These are low-frequency sounds, so I don't think they count towards the test, but are useful so you can judge that you "didn't" hear anything!

I can hear 17KHz perfectly, and I can detect 17.4KHz. Anything above that doesn't register. I suspect it's because the crap headphones I have can't produce sound higher than that. I can hear the super high pitch sound when TV sets are on and I've always been tested to have perfect hearing so I assume my hearing is fine.
