To NTs/ASDs with ASD/NT siblings:
Thank you, Artros. I tried to be sensitive about the topic, but it's one of those subjects where it's almost impossible not to offend someone, I guess. I'm just trying to get more of an understanding on other people's situations, because it looks like it's an area that hasn't had very much study yet.
I think part of why it interests me so much is because my relationship with my brother (low-functioning) and my NT sisters' relationship with my youngest sister (high-functioning) are very different. I think it's probably because low-functioning autistic people are more obviously different, whereas high-functioning autistic people, on the surface, seem mostly NT with some quirks. I think I'm in a bit of an unusual situation, having one sibling on each end of the spectrum, so it makes me curious.
