Does the prospect of becoming famous scare you?

Yes, it actually would be scary for me! I'd have to change who I am if I wanted to be signed by a major record label and worse, have to wear sexy, exposed clothes! Plus, I'm extremely modest and shy and don't like a lot of attention put on me!

That being said, if you're a writer or an artist, its probably a lot easier being famous than if you're a singer or actor. You don't have paparazzi following you around everywhere and you can actually live a normal life.

The prospect of being famous, especially some form of celebrity, terrifies me.

I don't publish in my field, and fiction that I'm writing will not be published under my name (assuming I ever finish it).

No, shameful as it is, it's possible I would quite like that, being the extremely egocentric person I am...expect that I would be terrified of my parents finding out things about me that I've wanted to keep hidden from them.
And of course there'd be the problem of media making up s**t about me, but if I know it's not real, no problem. I would comment on it.
Also, me as a famous person? I would be awful at interviews and such, with my incoherent speech and such, but...it would still be interesting.

I also think the entertainment business is full of egocentric, arrogant people! What especially annoys me is the fact that women in this business are forced to be sex symbols as opposed to actual artists.

I don't want to be famous for good reasons or bad reasons. Although I wouldn't mind being rich. Having financial security would make life a lot easier for aspies. Think about how many of the problems people have here would not be an issue if they were rich. Like can't hold down a job, executive function problem (hire a personal secretary), can't drive (taxi or personal driver), cost of diagnosis, medications, health insurance...etc. Money can't make us normal, but can make coping with life so much easier. You own hermit mountain cottage won't be just a fantasy, eh?

For me it's more about knowing I did something worthy of fame but I would love having a voice that people would hear and pay attention to, That would be amazing! I haven't really thought about the famous part too much so I'm not sure... IDK about the Papparazi though
