Are you cross-dominant (a sort of ambidextrous)?
+1 , though less good with left these days. I used to write equally well with my left hand, despite not using it as much, but my RH script was so bad perhaps it was just hard to tell! Left hand for opening things, scissors/peelers both, but used to be left preferred.

I identify myself as being left handed. I naturally write and use chopsticks with my left hand...I usually eat with my left hand..and instinctually I am lest handed dominant for various things....HOWEVER...I (for whatever reason) often hand sew with my right hand....When bowling or batting or playing darts...I am cross-dominant..it made elementary school sports hell, because when playing kickball, I had no idea which foot to kick with..and i experience the same confusion with most sports...I will switch between hands sometimes when eating and sewing ...and I can draw with both hands at the same time..if I want to...I do consider myself to be a lefty tho

There is a certain thing i have always had confusion with...I am left-handed and am almost blind in my left eye....for some reason I thought that left-hander were right brain dominant..and that the eyes criss-crossed...as in left eye controlled by right brain and visa versa...so,,,being a right brained dominant person would be contradictory with the dysfunctions I have with my left eye..of course, I could be completely mistaken...it has always been something that has confused me...

Hi. Before i didnt question my mixed handedness because I wasnt even aware of it. I thought i was this weird lefthanded kid that brushes her teeth with the write. But now I finally realized that yep I am cross dominant. Im already 18 but I am very slow when oral reading is done and I confuse was or saw, or sometimes when im thinking of a word to write such as "brick" the first letter I would write is K instead of b. I am confused with b and d. My memory is not so good. My handwriting is increadibly sloppy for my age. I remember when i was a kid i had this strong impulse to "equally" do things with a certain body parts, like if my left arm is brush against a wall my right arm should also be brushed against the wall or like if i poke someone with my right index finger i also have to poke them with my left index finger, if I dont do them to level it out then I would never be settled. And another thing, spelling is difficult for me.
My sibling are really great in Math but my ability in matg compared to them is quiet poor. Im very lazy and I often shut down and stare at blank space. I am very unorganized and i dont seem to bother to have a messy desk. I used to think that I was depressed and had panic attacks until I was identified to have cross dominance which finally explained every weird thing i did when i was a kid that even i cant explain and finally understanding why i am left handed but i hit things with my right hand and kick things with my left foot but steps right first when walking. When cleaning the insides of a fish, i use my left hand.
I am ambidextrous. But, I do not train my left hand to do certain things because of a variety of reasons. I do certain things though with each hand based on its own personal abilities.
As mentioned by another, when I too played soccer, I could kick equally bad with each foot. Just not an athlete.
I do all my phone conversations with my left ear. My eyes are not equal in ability (differing prescriptions for each) but, I could not tell you which is dominant. But, left eye is almost in full squint when I go outside.
Was trained to shoot right handed due to the dominance exhibited. At one point, could qualify as sharpshooter, but not now LOL.
Overall dominance? Righty, based on training. I was part of the generations that got pushed there. Had my 'precision grip' pretty much worked on for years until it was mastered (K - 2). It was even commented on by the evaluator.
But, I am so trained in that grip, I have a hard time switching grips when painting or drawing. I can work on a 2'x3' canvas and still work like I was on an 8.5" x 11" Paper writing a letter. I have to force my hands to hold my tools differently. And, I have been painting and drawing professionally for 40 years. So, that's how ingrained that is. I still have to force the change.
It's one of the reasons I used a palette knife last year. No way to hold that as precision grip.
