I have a very high EQ.

Im not bad at eye contact.

I have sensory issues but not so much that they interfere with my life.

I do not ramble on about one topic.

Disorder and disruption of routine does not bother me.

I like socializing, just not all the time. I've gotten good at making friends.
I don't like rutean and everything being the same, it feels like time is still.

- I understand most figures of speech and sarcasm.
- I can talk about things besides my special interests
- I can eat a wide variety of different foods
- I love to be touched/hugged
- It's fairly easy for me to make friends (keeping them is the hard part since I fear getting too emotionally attached to other people)

Interesting thread. Made me think!

NT Traits -

I use Facebook

The need for attention (however I prefer alone time)

I play "social games": scrabble (that's about it)

I sometimes lie if someone is asking for a compliment

Eye contact (howeve I end up staring for too long)

I try to say "hi" inititally before anyone else does.

I keep my special interest to myself in an offline conversation.

- I have an expressive voice and enjoy reading aloud or acting; I feel that were it not for my other aspie traits which prohibit me from such social and overstimulating ventures, I would have been a competent stage actor.

- I do not have trouble understanding sarcasm and figurative language.

- I have learned to control my self-expression to an extent that I can use small amounts of situationally appropriate "small talk" and avoid discussing my special interests. However, I don't really consider this an NT "trait" because it is a learned behavior that can be quite painful and stressful to me.

NT Traits:

*I can be extremely vague. I hardly lie, but I'm more vague than an NT would be.
*I don't mind hanging out in a huge crowd of friends/aqquaintinces. (Though it just depends, I either like a small group or a very large group of friends, I tend to feel really left out in medium-sized groups)
*I like being spontaneous and trying new things (though it depends which things, I'm fine with skipping school to go on field trips, but I am not okay with missing out one small detail in my daily routine)
*I'm not too clueless about figurative language. I often use idioms, metaphors, and similes, but I sometimes write poetry, so I guess that's why. (In a social situation, it might take me a while to get it though)
*I like hugs as long as the other person isn't touching one of my ticklish areas.
*I do pretty good at reading people's facial expressions if you gave me a picture, but in real life, it's unnatural for me to stare at a person's face that long and intently to figure out their emotion.
*I was very imaginative as a little kid and still am. (Though if you gave me a topic to write a story about, my mind would go blank)
*My voice can be very expressive at times while my face is just blank.
*I can get along pretty well with people who are very different from me (as long as they're also considered "weird" in a way)

And here's one I don't either belongs in either the Aspie or NT category:

*I can be both irrational and rational, but the irrational part tends to get the best of me. I've tried to make myself miserable in order to make more room for happiness. I've tried punishing myself physically in order to get rid of bad karma. I was so paranoid about a person once that I lashed out at a person nearby when that other person threw something at my face without thinking that it could have been an accident. I used to prepare myself for visits from the ghosts of relatives and ancestors, and was extremely paranoid about what I was doing just in case they were following me. And for some reason, I lost my "magical powers" (which might or might not be just a coincedence) after going into high school.

- crowds are ok, as long as they behave rationally
- I use figurative language (but I usually ask to explain proverbs, for instance)
- sensory overload is extremely rare
