The recent mass killings here in Seattle were perpetrated by a loner. And he may have been autistic, to boot. He did try to make friends but was rejected from a café which he eventually shot up one morning. From all accounts he spent a lot of time by himself. There seems to be a general idea that loners, when left unchecked, concoct dangerous plans which a few actually do see to its horrendous conclusion. Would someone with a bucketload of friends and good social life go on a killing spree? I don't think so.
The message there should be that people who are rejected may well be hurt by this. People who are hurting sometimes feel a need to share the pain. The only difference between Spectrumites and NTs in this regard, is the Spectrumite would be a lone gunman, whereas the NTs would be a group, each armed.
