Tequila, someone mentioned next week's programme with be on OCD. Will you upload that as well?

Thank you for posting this! I really felt bad for both the parents and the children in the show as I can only imagine how difficult things must be for them. I know from my own experiences of living with difficult people with emotional issues that it takes a great toll on the "healthy" party trying to cope with someone who requires a lot of attention.

Don't see why not.

There's no way my parents would have tolerated me kicking and swearing at them as those two young lads were doing to their mother. I think the ruling/law? on parents not being allowed to smack their children has done a lot of damage to society in general and means many parents just can't control their children.

Bad behaviour is bad behaviour in my opinion and without appropriate discipline/boundary-setting it tends to get worse.

That's the entire video - the reason the BBC blocks non-UK IPs from watching iPlayer (there are ways you can get around that) is because, in the UK, BBC programmes are paid for by the licence fee, therefore, it's meant for UK residents only.

I think this documentary is great! The portrait test was interesting, I came to the same conclusions as Micheal.

It's also interesting as I draw portraits, and I am probably drawing something that I can't perceive but others can.

Will they ever do these kind of documentaries about adults?

It was nice to see that they showed people at either end of the spectrum and someone going through the assessment process.

I like the fact that they showed people from different parts of the spectrum, not just a severe case like Tony. And I too was amazed how well Zane could explain himself at such a young age! I can also totally identify with being told "school is fun, we like school". That frustrated and angered me no end. "Huh? Who the hell is 'we'? Are you telling me what I like? Clearly you're not listening to me at all!"

Thanks, Tequila. I missed the first half. The second half was really interesting for me in particular. The little boys were similar to my daughter (although she's not violent at all). The diagnosis meeting was what I was most interested in, as we're having one of those next Wednesday.

I found the question about the portrait .... intresting. Of course everybody will see and think something different about a picture. But in hindsight I think she was talking about emotional connections in regards to the picture. I know when I draw pictures people ask me what they mean, and I usually don't attach any meaning to them, they are just colors and shapes.

I really wanted to hear what Laverne thought in detail when looking at the picture. She kinda talked about the difference between their thinking but she didn't say what she actually thought about the girl.

Autism or not, if my child swore at me there would be discipline and consequences quick smart.

yeah I was never allowed to talk like that, if I did I got the old soap in the mouth.
