I can't say I don't drink and use drugs, though I'd more or less consider alcohol a drug but technically I guess its more of a poison but its still a chemical substance that alters the way one feels so its basically a drug. Anyways though I don't see what is wrong with someone not wanting to use drugs. It's their choice and I find people who would pressure others to be a bit on the idiotic side, because they have no business telling someone what they should do with their own body and mind unless its causing them harm.......You not using drugs does not hurt anyone so if they push the issue they probably aren't worth hanging around.

I would say it would bother me if someone decided I am some horrible person for using drugs(especially if they drink coffee), but I don't care whether or not people use them or not.

I'm not really a goodie-two-shoes, I'm just not really interested in getting drunk or doing drugs. I have a fear of being sick, and most people, if not everybody, has a hangover after getting completely pissed out of their minds, especially the first few times, and I do have a fear of being sick so I steer clear of anything that encourages vomiting.
I know a lot of people who have never touched a drug in their life, so I don't feel different there. Most people who I know have got stupidly drunk at least once in their lives, and I know very few who haven't, which does make me feel like a goodie-two-shoes a bit. Youngsters laugh at me because of it, but older people say, ''you're sensible, please stay the way you are''.

You are perfectly within your rights to avoid these substances like the plague. I have both drank alcohol and smoked marijuana in my lifetime but have since decided that I will no longer do it. Why? Well, I had a good objective look around and saw what they did to other people. I have friends with lives that have been ruined by alcoholism and drug abuse and I do not wish to join them in their misery. I am also blessed with a dislike of the effects of both on my mind and body as alcohol just makes me feel sick and pot makes me overly paranoid. Plus, there is simply too much risk involved. I drove after drinking way too many times out of necessity and could never really tell if I would get a DUI if I was pulled over. Marijuana also carries stiff legal penalties plus it stays in your system for a fairly long time. I drive for a living and were I to get in an accident I would have to go for mandatory drug testing. Thus smoking pot could have caused me to lose everything I own. I also did not like the kind of people I ended up hanging around when smoking pot. There was too much chance that I would get ensnared in their legal issues by association.

I choose not to drink, smoke or do drugs not because I was "programmed," like many are quick to assume, but because I saw first-hand what these things did to (some) people. I have known people who are addicted to heroin and cocaine (some have since died), people who suffered permanent damage from drug use and alcohol consumption, and people who had lung cancer from smoking. I prefer not to be one of those individuals, which is my business and not that of anyone else. If you want to do it, go ahead, but count me out.
