Clearly a severe problem...

I'd put it like this. A problem is to buy new shoes,
to know where to get them
to decide what kind of shoes
or to find other ones in your flat.

Everyone wears the same shoes.
If you wore those same shoes to bed, or to the shower, or to work then change into formal wear but still have on the same shoes then that's a problem.

I wear the same shoes also. I have other pairs but I wear one pair 99% of the time. I just hate buying new shoes. I think it's more about organizing the time to go and what day and when to do it and then deciding on the shoes to get. Then after that I am happy with my new pair. But however if I couldn't find my pair, I'd be disappointed I had to wear something else until I find them but I wouldn't meltdown about it or refuse to go anywhere. I think that's when it becomes an AS symptom, the inflexibility.

So how do aspie shoes look like, if everybody wears the same shoes?

Why do you take your shoes to the shower  or to bed?

Really that is a problem. Because if you wear always the same shoes they'll go broken quickly. And than you'll have to go and buy new ones, again!

I have worn the same color, brand and model of sneaker for ten years now. Even though they have gone though an evolution in design, they are basically the same. I have other foot wear too, since my work requires non slip shoes and I also have a love of flip flops. If anything, this would be a mild consequence of Asperger's though as it really doesn't cause me any suffering.

Severe consequences would be wanting to have a social life and relationship but always finding myself alone because it is so hard to find other people I relate to. Likewise, I would count as severe heavy sensory issues which keep you from being able to interact with the world outside of your own private sanctum. (Sorry, but if your only sensory issue is a need for comfortable, cotton clothes, you don't have a bad sensory issue.) Meltdowns would also be a severe part of it as they further isolate the sufferer from others and cause a lot of pain and stress for them.

I was very bad as a kid
The test I had for autism in 1988 says I got 14 out of 16 and a very very long list with lots of pages saying why I got ea one of them.
I got to read that 1988 test in 2009 it was like reading a bad book. and was like O.o omg I was that bad as a kid.

You probably mean that also NTs wear the same shoes a lot?
They'll change shoes much faster, so maybe that's why I think they use more shoes...?

Good question.

Though women tend to have many shoes. But about men I am not sure at all.
They'll have too shoes for every single purpose, where I would still take my normal shoes...

I'd wear my shoes until they are really dead (Leaking or lifting off)

Maybe I walk also differently which is not good for the shoes...

I meant isn't it normal wear the same shoes and they go broken quickly and then you have to go out and buy a new pair again. You made it sound like lot of people wouldn't wear the same shoes and have to go out and buy a new pair again because the broke down quickly.

I wear my shoes until they start to dig into my skin because the padding part wears out and then the hard part digs in and it gives me blisters. I put in toilet paper for padding until I get a new pair. One time I got a new pair because they were ripped. I am not sure how many shoes I go through a year. I have maybe gotten new shoes twice since the current job I have had. I find that if I wear them every single day when I go to work, they wear out a lot quicker. A pair I had at my last job lasted me for two years but they were so worn out. I just tossed them out when I quit. I had no use for black shoes. Reason why I had them was because black shoes were required so I got them and they were 50 bucks. So I only used them for work. I would change into them when I get there and then out of them when I leave. I also know another cue for needing new shoes is if your feet start to get sore from lot of walking, it just means your shoes are worn so they don't give you the support anymore your feet needs.

I've worn my shoes until the bottom part melted and the top part had holes. I've been cut in the back of my heel. Right now I have shoes in which the padding comes out easily. I'm not getting new shoes because to me they still function fine and I don't want to spend the extra money yet. You say you hate buying shoes. Shoot, I hate clothes shopping. I find it boring and tedious. My wife has this tendency to take hours in the store and she goes in this zig-zag way instead of going in and out.

I wear the same shoes everyday too (always had weird shoe preferences)... but severe? Could be (not in my case (at least, i don't think so))

Funny cuz i'm the same. And i'm a woman but i don't care. Many times i went out with my shoes broken and because i'm a bit attractive, people immediately noticed them, But i don't want to change my shoes because i still like the way they look and feel.

I think he meant to say that is one of the symptoms and I incline to believe that as I always knew autists tend to wear the same shoes.
It could be just one of the symptoms but, obviously, it is not always true.

I only want too wear big trainers too feel taller. I would really dislike going out in converse trainers cause I would feel short. I only purchase Nike airs

Too put it simply I only have a preference for big heeled shies

Yeah, i think that too. But sometimes the attitude is more important than height.

So it is more of an attitude (or self esteem) problem, rather than a height problem.
Usually, taller people are more confident and besides this, many folks feel intimidated around them if attitude comes along with an imposing appearance.

But if you're tall and shy or awkward, it doesn't make too much difference.

Usually, human relations are mainly based on fear.

I'm tall. And I can't relate to the appraisal of tall people that you make. There are some positive sides to it, but also many negative, that have lead to me wanting to be shorter quite frequently when I was younger. I don't see it as an exclusively positive trait, and I haven't seen that with other people that are as tall as me either. As an Aspie I'd rather be shorter in a lot of situations, cause I don't really care about what people think, I only know that I have problems hiding and that my head is always bumping into objects : (
