Sorry, I think I was a bit confusing in my last post. It doesn't matter where you live, it is a question about ethnicity. Shameless Git, you're right to put your ethnicity as Anglo-Czech rather than American if you define yourself as Anglo-Czech in ethnicity but you happen to live in America.

If, however, you classify your ethnicty as White American or Asian American etc then you would write that in the box at the bottom after selecting 'Any Other White Background' or whichever 'Any Other Background' best applies to you.

I hope that makes sense. Just select which ethnicity best fits you, and if it's not on the list just write it in the box at the end once you've ticked one of the 'other' options.

Best wishes,
Hannah

Hi all,

Just realised I didn't answer a question posted on this discussion (how many people do I need to recruit). I need 160 people to complete my study and I currently have 77. I'm almost halfway so need lots more! If you know anyone who is over 18yrs old, has ASD and is happy to complete surveys, please let them know about this one :) I've had a really good experience recruiting from this site so far - thank you all for being so willing!

Best wishes,
Hannah

I'll do it too....I'll probably ruin your distribution of scores though by being an outlier since I have really low self esteem.

Thanks all.

I can now post the link on here which is great! For all those who haven't taken part yet but would like to, please click here: survey

All your responses are so helpful. If anyone has any questions or comments please PM me or post on here. I've added some additional info to those who did the survey via PM, so please see the pointers below that I've added based on previous feedback:

1. You may have completed a survey similar to the first part before as this is a screen for autism, apologies if this is repetitive but it's necessary for the study.

2. 'Friends' or 'family' means any friend or relative you feel supported by, it doesn't matter how you are related to them or how you know them.

3. 'ASC community' is an idea explained at the top of that section. If you do not believe there is such a thing, please answer as if you do not feel you belong to it - we are viewing these as the same thing.

Best wishes and HUGE thanks,
Hannah
