No OFFENSE to anyone with physical disabilities!! ! But since I can walk, see etc. and since I've had multiple surgeries I always imagine if I loss sight/paralyzed etc. What would happen how would I learn to cope etc. Or if I see a show on Cancer I imagine having that. No OFFENSE and I'm sorry for anyone that lives with any of these issues.

I know it's weird to think like this but you see stuff on tv and imagine "What if that was You!!?" "What would you do?! !! !!" Kind of goes through my head. I think it'd still be a shock but IMO I'd sound like a nutcase oh I imagined being paralyzed or *insert issue* I had a medical issue fixed and imagine that becoming messed up even.

I used to have something similar. I would imagine the worst. But I soon realized none of what I imagined ever happened. So the opposite thought developed:

If I imagine the worst possible thing happening they won't happen.

And then they went away.

I don't think I imagine it though, not in the sense that I am worrying about bad things that can happen before I have the "daymare" - I am not thinking for it to happen - I just "see". It could be that I don't recognize I am anxious until after the fact. I do have anxiety generally and situationally, so it is possible it is part and parcel. I just don't "feel" the connection as such. I am glad not to be alone on this one.
