Sleep deprivation releaves depression in the same way that jumping off a cliff releaves depression- the cure is worse than than illness.
But if you really do enjoy going without sleep you should work for my company- an inventory counting service. We go into stores and physically count all of thier merchandise using little computers on our belts and UPC laser guns ( sears, victoria's secret, home depot, every kinda retail).
This is our busy season- the two and half months right after christmas- when retail companies do their inventory.
If working late into the night one day, and then getting up at four in the mourning to start work at six am the next day for days on end sounds like fun to you...welcome aboard!
January, February, and into march, many of my coworkers get less sleep in a week than most folks get a day- but they rack up overtime.
Also many aspies posters here ive noticed have an obsession with counting (they even use what we call 'good counting techniques', counting by groups of 3's and 4's just as a compulsion).
If you cant control your peccadillo you might as well get paid for it!
