The challenges we face in life are similar to what left handed people encountered decades ago. Am I right?

Yeah . . . people try to change what is perfectly natural for us.

Without going off topic, I still remember as a child public schools were still run by the churches and they still followed the 'you are only allowed to write with your right hand' BS. I was a VERY bright child but I had absolutely atrocious writing and needed daily extra help just to make it passable and in hindsight it's pretty clear why. Even though my mother denies it, I KNOW I was forced to "go right". That's one reason why I don't want to seek a formal label. It's just an excuse for someone to try and change who I am. I'm not diseased and don't want to be 'cured' of Aspergers just understood.

I thought I could never make it on my own but I have to admit while it was tough at first, I matured VERY quickly. You might be surprised and what you can accomplish when you step out of your comfort zone. I only wish I didn't delay moving out until age 29.

I'm left handed and I'm lucky that they never tried to convert me. I have an older cousin that they tried to convert.

My handwriting with my right hand is horrible and even just holding the pen feels very awkward and wrong.
