polyester fleece feels so horrible I can't even touch it, but I like cotton fleece. The sound that spider webs make when you touch or disturb them is the most horrible sound of all.

I thought I was the only one! I have cold shivers going down my spine now, just thinking about it.

One boy at school found out about my aversion and used to chase me around the classroom with a cotton ball. :?

There's some sort of weird sensitivity thing I have with the sound and feel of cotton balls when you mash them or tear them apart. It drives me crazy, like nails on a chalk board. I was wondering if anyone who shares this sensitivity had a potential fix for it to make cotton balls more tolerable.

Yes-I can totally relate.
I even hate only the feel of cotton in my hand.

I can relate too, funny that it's the same for so many of us,I thought it was just me.I have to use a lot of moisturizer on my hands before I can touch anything made of cotton.

I had an aunt who was terribly affected by even the thought of cotton batton balls.

I don't think she was on the spectrum, tho'. I think she was just nutz. :)

I have never heard the sound of a spider web. The next time I see one I will have to listen for it and see if I can hear it.

Im 17 ever since i was a kid i couldn’t touch cotton balls i’d hate getting nail polish removed i didn’t like my nails painted because i didn’t want to be touched by them it’s a gritty feeling that gives you goosebumps and it hurts my teeth even thinking about them gives me goosebumps. It’s a phobia called sidonglobophobia. I’m not deathly afraid of them but i do feel that feeling and haven’t met anybody else that knows the feeling it’s rare.

Ugh, yes - I can hardly even think about them without getting that horrible sensation they cause, just from touching them at all. Can’t stand them.
