First off, the noise that tap made really bothered me, plus it was hard to hear him over the running water.
Second, I agree that some forms of indirectness can be silly, for instance, people ask for "your honest opinion" then get offended when you give it; they should just not ask for your opinion if they don't want the truth. I also really hate the way they use nonverbal communication; they have this way of not finishing sentences and looking at you a certain way, as if that look is supposed to clarify what they mean, but I rarely understand what they're trying to say; I wish they would just verbalise the whole thought.
