Yes, it would be interesting. I'd also like to be a professional football player for a week.

More curisoity wise for me, to see how social functioning is life and no sensory issues either. More 3 days at most before going back to my more normal sence. :)

I wouldn't want to. I'm fine the way I am. I'd rather go a week without The Kinks.

I'm always curious about thinking in different ways, so of course.

Oh yes. I'd love to meet more people, travel and get more experience without the paralysing fear of being unable to speak to anyone without wanting to crumple up.

Of course I would! I wonder so much about what it's like. It would be heartbreaking to lose it again though, but maybe even that one week would help me be more normal.
Either way I would have loved to experience it!!

Actually come to think of it, I would have loved to know what it was like to be a lot of things I am not.

I've often wished I could be NT for a week, just to see what it's like. I would love losing the sensory problems and anxiety; I'd probably throw a huge noisy party just because I could... though I still might not like it much because I'm an introvert as well. I'd love to see what it is about human contact that my sister loves so much, and maybe I could go on a crash-course social skills learning experience while I'm at it; get plenty of interactions in so I can file them away in my memory bank to pull out when I need to perform the interaction later when I'm an aspie again. I also think it would be fascinating to see what not having a special interest is like; if you don't love something enough to spend all your free time on it... what do you do with your free time?

Certainly. That direct basis for comparison would be very useful for me i think, to understand what that perspective would be like.

Perhaps to give additional context to my answer: I would be equally interested in having the psychology of a bird for a week. And a lizard. And prey mammal. And a predator mammal (although in this particular case I expect it would be very similar to standard human thought style, humans being predacious mammals themselves). Things of this nature. I want to understand alternate cognitive process. I like to watch animals for this reason. In the wild. At the zoo. At the pet store provided they don't get mad at me and tell me to buy something and/or leave.

No. It would be very painful, as autism is big part of who I am. The only way it wouldn't be painful is if much of my memories got wiped out.

Speaking of which, one time when I socialized a little more than I usually did, I had a taste of how it's like to focus on what NTs usually focus on. I started obsessing over people and socializing and had a hard time stopping myself from doing so. Of course, I didn't actually become NT, as I wanted to focus on the natural world instead. I got over it after a few minutes.

I go through periods where I lose my mask and need a new one and it is always a shocking reminder that I have aspergers. I don't enjoy that so no I wouldn't want to be lol.

I'd like to try anything for a week, even a severely Autistic person, to see what it's like for them.

If I were NT for a week, I would just get comfortable with fitting in socially, when suddenly the week will be up and I would have to go back to my boring old Aspie s**t again. Then people will be like, ''aww, she's no fun any more - last week she was cool, this week she's boring and stupid again Whatever happened?''

Therefore, I'd like to be NT....forever.

I second this one.

I think in my case it would confuse me. I am used to myself the way I am.

Could be fun, but I´d rather be David Fray (pianist) for a week, - and be able to remember how I did it (being a piano genius)

I don't really know what "normal" is, so no. I wouldn't want to be "normal" anyway.
