I was actually considering the idea of moving to Portland one day. From what I've read about it, it sounds like it would be one of the most aspie-friendly cities out there. I'm curious as to why you dislike it?

Most of it is, yes. The denser areas tend not to be, as they're loud/busy as others have stated. The nice thing about LA is that if you venture a block or two off main thoroughfares its pretty quiet/residential.

Also I recommend looking into Long Beach. It's a suburb of LA but a major city in its own right (over 500,000 people inhabit it). It's a pretty all-encompassing city with everything you need really.
