See, when you're not diagnosed and you tell people you have aspergers and they ask "oh when did you get diagnosed?" And you reply with "I hasn't officially been" they consider you an idiot or hypochondriac of sorts. I mean, it's not true unless it's on paper right?

Ugh... I know, right?!
Also, I don't tell people I have Autism/Aspergers. I've already learned from the few people I've told how frustrating it can be for them to challenge what I know to be true. So I've shut my mouth in an effort to keep myself sane. It's just not worth the effort to explain myself to anyone around me. I've not had to do it for this long (I'm in my late 20's), so why should I start now?
