Women are an example of a numerically superior minority. The numbers game didn't stop anti-female sexism.
Plus, with disabled and cognitively atypical people, they often divide-and-conquer, so that each small group has to fend for itself, rather than all of us working together. Rather than the 20% of all people who are disabled sticking together, we have the 1% who are autistic, and the 1% with this disability, and the 1% with that disability... and so on. All those little groups aren't very powerful on their own.
