However, I think that there is a thing in this text that does not makes much sense:
Topic................Threshold values for suspected ASD......The average score for male neurotypicals
Total score........................65.........................82.9
Language........................... 4...........................6.5
Social relatdness............31.........................44.3
Sensory/motor................16.........................17
Circunscribed Interests...15.......................15.2
In all topics, the "Threshold values for suspected ASD" is lower than the "average score for male neurotypicals " (and for females, btw) - in another words, most neurotipicals (or most neurotipicals who take the test) are above the threshold; like I said, does not makes much sense
I've noticed this too. A possible explanation is that the people who would take this test are self-selecting people who are at least "spectrum-frendly", whatever that means exactly; your average neurotypical won't ever go anywhere near the aspietests site.
The threshold values on the other hand may be derived from clinical research, i.e. from much more reliable data than a bunch of people who think they're not aspie, but were interested enough to take the test, choosing "do not have Aspergers" from the dropdown at the start.
Maybe.
