I did not know there were Tim Horton's in the States. They're just about on every corner here. lol

I have applied there specifically for the night shift (and other positions,) but no luck. I think what's holding me back is that I'm not working right now - employers hate that. So I'm hoping to get this cleaning job because even though it's only a few hours, it gives me a current employer.

Yep...and it would keep you on Ontarian support, until you could acquire work experience.

It's a b***h about libraries---that's the b***h about computers--it really screwed up the bookstore and library industry!

Your dog is sooooo cute. And I am happy about your new adventure. If you start a blog about it I will read it every day, and when you open your shopping spot on it I will order one of your cool t-shirts and buy your book as well.

My mother and my guyfriend are both giving me grief. Neither one seems to think that I will be successful living on my own and I am finding this discouraging. My response mantra is that I wasn't diagnosed or medicated when I lived alone before, which doesn't seem to sway either of them, even though I think this is quite significant. Anyway they are both treating me as persona non grata at a time when I could really use some support. Nothing new there. :?

It is significant as it makes you aware that some things are more difficult for you and some things you need to do in a different way. You are NOT a loser. You are autistic and need to do things in your autistic way. You are not less than, nor are you incapable. You are Autistic. Please try to understand that that THEY are neurologically incapable of understanding this. Not because they are less than, nor in other ways incapable. They are NT.

It's true, they are incapable of understanding the way I do things. It frustrates them. I wish they would be more accepting though instead of being judgmental.
