And here I thought I was the only one that hides on their birthday.

I normally celebrate with family at home. I don't ask for specific presents as much anymore, because I already have what I needed, so I usually ask people to get me anything based on my interests. I also celebrate with co-workers at work sometimes.

I've celebrated my birthday the same way nearly all my life (I'm 20) - presents, going to the zoo, and a small party with the family at my Grandma's house. I've occasionally been encouraged to have a proper party, especially on "special" birthdays like 18, but I hate the idea of that. Too many people, too much noise. I enjoy birthdays a lot because, like Christmas, it feels like a day I can be a kid again (more than usual XD) and just get really excited about unwrapping presents and eating cake and things.

There's a small celebration with family, but my birthday hasn't been important to me for a long time now. I'd rather ignore the passage of time than throw a party.

I get told how much I can spend on presents then I buy them myself. We usually have a cake. And that is about it. Though this year I went camping for one night on my birthday.

At my first school, kids would still come after i invited them because it was considered polite. At the age of 14, nobody would ever come except for my moms friends.

This year my only friend in the last 1.5 year asked me what Im gonna do in october at my birthday and i said i never celebrate it. My Friend got sad.. so this year, i decided to go bowling.. but i still dont See it as a special day.

One day, my parents took me to a restaurant.i asked mom Why we were eating there. She started crying...and got mad. 'it is my birthday!!'

The one thing i always hated about birthdays is the kissing rituals, i absolutely hate it but sometimes i have to do it. I dont mind being touched in a relationship or having sex... I only hate kissing at birthdays

Lately I've been studying for finals on my birthday since I always seem to have at least one final scheduled the next day or two after my birthday.

It's always just been my family celebrating it. Really not that much different than the usual family gatherings we regularly have, other than a cake with my name on it and some gifts to me.

This year am really excited about turning 14 soon on the 20th of August. Probably because of all my time on teen forums. We all cyber celebrate members milestones and birthdays, so it will be fun that day.

Used to do stuff with the family, but I told them to stop. I don't celebrate anyone else's birthday either, but I surprised myself recently by going to a friends party this year. Saw this one cute chick, but she was taken.

oh well lol

I generally have a quiet, low-key birthday with immediate family only or sometimes just my spouse.

As long as it involves a gluten free chocolate cake and maybe spending some time related to one of my interests/hobbies then it is a good day.
