Buy yourself some nice soaps so that you look forward to getting in the shower & using them.
I recommend Lush

I could spend so much money on Lush it wouldn't be funny. Alas, I have no money

Figs and leaves and King of Skin. YUM!! One of my fave soaps was Middle Earth but I don't think they make that anymore. You still have to be a little careful with them though. They use SLS and propylene glycol sometimes. But they do make fun stuff. I can spend hours in the store.
Alright, a fellow Lushie! I could spend hours in there too! Sniffing everything! (sniffing is a stim, right?

)
Figs & Leaves, Sultana, HIWTK, Snowcake, 17 Cherry Tree, Olive Branch, Wiccy, The Comforter, Snow Fairy -->
Haven't tried KoS yet, the only time I could afford a body butter I went with You Snap the Whip instead. It didn't last long in my shower
ETA: K_Kelly, you mentioned possible sensory issues with showering - perhaps if the feeling of the water hitting your skin doesn't work for you, what about baths? Personally I just love sitting in a nice warm bath, feeling the water swirling over my skin, it feels very safe and calming for me. Probably goes right back to the safety of being in the womb, really! I sit in there for ages, or till my toes wrinkle
